UHL's leading goal scorer called up to Milwaukee

Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Steve Martinson announced Monday that the United Hockey League club has loaned center Preston Mizzi to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. It's the eighth time in which Rockford has loaned a player to the AHL this season.
Mizzi, the UHL's Player of the Month in October, leads the "U" with 10 goals and ranks third overall with 13 points. The centerman had a five-game goal scoring streak snapped on Saturday in Missouri. During his hot stretch, Mizzi netted 9 goals.
The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native is the fourth Hogs player to get loaned to the AHL this season. Hogs defenseman Nathan Lutz, who is currently with the Admirals, has played for both Milwaukee and the Manitoba Moose, goaltender Michel Robinson has been loaned three times to Milwaukee and defenseman Evgueni Nourislamov was loaded to the Admirals at the beginning of the campaign.
Mizzi has played 31 games in the AHL during his four-plus seasons in the pro ranks. The 5-11 center appeared in 27 games with the Syracuse Crunch during his rookie season, scoring 3g-3a-6pts and later suited up with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in 2003-04, skating in four contests.
Next Home Games: Friday, November 11 vs. Flint Generals. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Rockford returns home to face off against the Generals. The first 2,000 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs "Support Our Troops" wristband in honor of Veterans Day. The Hogs will then take on the Missouri River Otters at the MetroCenre on Sunday, November 13. It's a Kids Puck Day with Insurance King for the first 500 kids 12-and under, plus a Family Four Pack Day for the 3:05 p.m. contest..
