Machanics fall down 0-3 in series

FRASER, MI-The Kalamazoo Wings controlled the play and took control in the pivotal game three of the first round series tonight as they won 9-3 at the Great Lakes Sports City Arena.

The Wings scored 8 straight goals before Adam Edinger could finally get one on the board for the Mechanics. Brent Gretzky followed the goal up 31 seconds later to make it 8-2.

The Wings would add one more followed by a Mangler goal as Mel Angelstad finished the goal scoring off.

Rod Branch made 28 saves in his third appearance in the series.

The series continues on Wednesday when the Wings return for game 4 of the best of seven series. Face-off is 7:30 PM.
