Motor City Mechanics News Release
KALAMAZOO, MI-Both teams came out with great intensity to emulate playoff style hockey, however, tonight the Kalamazoo Wings held tight and took game one of the best of seven series by a score of 2-1 at Wings Stadium.
The Mechanics got on the scoreboard first when Adam Edinger, who continues to have a stellar season, scored the first goal to give the Mechanics an early 1-0 lead.
The Wings scored just six minutes later to tie the game at 1-1 followed by another goal early in the second period.
That would be all they needed as they held on for the victory and a 1-0 series lead in this first round best of seven series.
