CHECKING THE RIVALRY

The Mavericks are facing the Oilers tonight for the fourth of 11 meetings this season, and the second of five at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. The Mavericks are 2-1-0 against the Oilers this season after claiming a 3-2 win in Tulsa last night. It was just Missouri's second win of the season after allowing the first goal of the season, and the first in which the Mavericks allowed the first two goals. The Mavericks are 1-0-0 at home against Tulsa thanks to a 10-3 win on November 5. The 10-goal effort was Missouri's best since joining the ECHL and most since an 11-goal outing in December 2011 against the Evansville IceMen of the former CHL. Tulsa averages 3.1 goals per game but has not scored more than 3 in a game against the Mavs this season.

ONE-TIMER * Darren Nowick has scored three goals in his last three games after a seven-game drought from 11/19 to 12/2. He also has five points (3g, 2a) in his last four games after four games without a point.
