Marlies Postseason Bound for Seventh Straight Season

The Toronto Marlies have secured a spot in the American Hockey League Calder Cup tournament for the seventh straight season and 10th in franchise history. With the Laval Rocket's regulation loss combined with the Marlies 4-3 win over the Providence Bruins, the Marlies are the first team in the AHL to clinch a berth to the postseason this season. Toronto is currently first in the league overall with a 41-16-1-1 record (84 points).

The Toronto Marlies are the primary development program for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The current Toronto Maple Leafs roster features 12 players who were developed by the Marlies (Tyler Bozak, Connor Brown, Connor Carrick, Travis Dermott, Jake Gardiner, Zach Hyman, Nazem Kadri, Kasperi Kapanen, Leo Komarov, Josh Leivo, William Nylander and Morgan Rielly).

The Toronto Marlies face off against the Laval Rocket on Monday at 3:00 p.m. ET for their March Break game at the Air Canada Centre which will be on TSN2. Toronto is back in action again again on Wednesday at Ricoh Coliseum against Laval at 7:00 p.m. ET.
