
Marlies Fan Appreciation and Team Awards Night on Saturday

A proud member of the American Hockey League, the Toronto Marlies announced today they will be hosting their Fan Appreciation Night tomorrow at their regular season finale against the Hamilton Bulldogs - AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens - at 5:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum. Prior to puck-drop, the Marlies will be naming their individual team award winners for the 2008-09 season.
Fan Appreciation Night will be highlighted by many prize giveaways, including Blu-ray disc players, Sony camcorders, Sony Digital cameras and gift certificates to local restaurants. The band Evil Genius will be playing Live at Ricoh Coliseum during the player warm-ups and during the intermissions.
The Marlies will be announcing their 2008-09 individual player awards during a pre-game ceremony. The awards being honoured include: Most Valuable Player, Best Defenceman, Rookie of the Year, Leading Scorer, Player Most Exemplifying Sportsmanship & Dedication, Community Service, Player's Choice and Fan's Choice.
The Marlies are back in action tonight at Ricoh Coliseum when they host the Manitoba Moose - AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks - at 7:00 p.m. The final two Marlies regular season games will air live on Rogers TV Cable 10 in Toronto and 63 in Scarborough.
