
Marlies Announce 2014-15 Opening Day Roster & Broadcast Schedule

The Toronto Marlies announced Friday the team's 2014-15 opening day roster. The Marlies will begin their 10th American Hockey League season with 31 players, looking to capture their fourth straight North division title.
Toronto's 2014-15 roster consists of goaltenders, Antoine Bibeau, Christopher Gibson and Garret Sparks. The 10 defencemen are Matt Finn, Petter Granberg, Blake Kessel, Korbinian Holzer, Eric Knodel, Viktor Loov, Andrew MacWilliam, Kevin Marshall, Brendan Mikkelson and Tom Nilsson. The 18 forwards are, Spencer Abbott, Tyler Biggs, Troy Bodie, David Broll, Connor Brown, Sam Carrick, Jamie Devane, Brett Findlay, Petri Kontiola, Josh Leivo, Greg McKegg, Frazer McLaren, Colton Orr, Brad Ross, Ryan Rupert, Trevor Smith, Brady Vail and Patrick Watling. Trevor Smith will resume his duties as captain of the Marlies for his second season. Korbinian Holzer and Troy Bodie will assume assistant captain's duties for home games while on the road, the assistants will be Sam Carrick and Andrew MacWilliam.
The Toronto Marlies also announced the team's 2014-2015 broadcast schedule with 18 games being televised live between Rogers 10 and Leafs TV this coming season. The other 18 games will be available on tape delay on Leafs TV. Toronto's home opener against the Utica Comets, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, will be broadcast by Rogers 10 with puck drop at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday October 11.
