A proud member of the American Hockey League, the Toronto Marlies announced today the winners of their 2008-09 individual player awards. The following is a list of the worthy recipients:
The Toronto Marlies Most Valuable Player Award: #17 Tim Stapleton
Previous winners: John Pohl (2005-06), Marc Moro (2006-07) and Ben Ondrus (2007-08)
The Toronto Marlies Best Defenceman Award: #26 Jaime Sifers
Previous winners: Ian White (2005-06), Staffan Kronwall (2006-07) and Jay Harrison (2007-08)
The Toronto Marlies Rookie of the Year Award: #7 Todd Perry
Previous winners: Colin Murphy (2005-06), Jaime Sifers (2006-07) and Darryl Boyce (2007-08)
The Toronto Marlies Leading Scorer Award: #17 Tim Stapleton
