The Columbus Clippers were defeated 16-4 on Sunday afternoon by the Buffalo Bisons at Huntington Park, allowing the visitors to leave town having won four of six games.
Red-hot Kyle Manzardo stroked his fourth home run of the season in the 1 st inning. When Myles Straw singled home Bryan Lavastida in the 7 th , the Clippers trailed 5-4.
Things fell apart for the Clippers bullpen in the last two frames as the Bisons scored eleven times.
The Clippers now hit the road for a six-game series in Syracuse against the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets. Columbus returns home on April 30 when the Toledo Mud Hens come to town for Tanksy Tuesday Dime-A-Dog Night. Tickets are available at ClippersBaseball.com.
