Plus/Minus Leader

Forward JC Lipon leads the Moose with a plus-11 rating through 46 games this season. Lipon has a plus-three edge on defenceman Cameron Schilling, and a plus-five lead on the closest forward in Skyler McKenzie. The Regina, Sask. native has recorded at least a plus-10 rating the past two seasons, leading the club with a plus-11 rating in 2016-17. Lipon has 23 points (10G, 13A), his sixth straight season recording at least 20 points, and fourth straight tallying at least 10 goals.

PTO Power

The Moose have utilized 10 players on professional tryouts this season. The group has appeared in a total of 106 games, with three players (Pedersen, Poirier and Fejes) suiting up for over 20 games. Players on tryouts have accounted for 12 goals and 20 points for the Moose this season. Emile Poirier leads the group with eight points (3G, 5A) in 23 games, while Brent Pedersen heads the tryout players with four goals in 26 games.

Getting Their Games

A quartet of Winnipeg Jets prospects lead the Moose in the games played column. Michael Spacek and Nelson Nogier lead the way with 53 games under their belts, followed by Logan Stanley at 52 and Jansen Harkins at 51. When it comes to defencemen, Nogier and Stanley are the only Moose blueliners to skate in more than 45 games. Spacek has been a reliable player in his career, appearing in 94 per cent of possible games in his two professional seasons.

Striking in the Second

The second period is where the Moose have done the most offensive damage this season, scoring 52 of their 134 regulation-time goals in the middle frame. It's also the period where the club enjoys its best shooting percentage, scoring on 10.2 per cent of its 510 shots in the second frame. The Moose have scored 36 goals in the first period and 46 in the third.

Reinforcements

The Winnipeg Jets announced today the team reassigned forward Mason Appleton and defenceman Tucker Poolman to the Moose. Appleton ranks sixth on the Moose with 18 points (8G, 10A) in 19 games this season. The Green Bay, Wisc. native also racked up 10 points (3G, 7A) in 36 games with the Jets. Poolman is tied for top spot among Moose defencemen with 17 points (3G, 14A) in 30 games.

Forward Logan Shaw regained the Moose scoring lead this week, hitting the 40-point plateau on Wednesday against Toronto. Shaw's 23 goals pace the Moose and rank him in a tie for 11th in the AHL. Shaw's previous career high was 25 points (13G, 12A) in 69 games. The Glace Bay, N.S. forward is currently on pace for just shy of 60 points. If he reached the plateau, Shaw would be the second Moose skater to reach the mark since 2008-09.
