
Jets Announce Roster Moves

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have reassigned forward Mason Appleton and defenceman Tucker Poolman to the Manitoba Moose. The Jets also announced they have signed goaltender Ken Appleby to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level and he has been reassigned to the Jacksonville Icemen of the ECHL.
Appleton, 23, made his NHL debut this season and has 10 points (3G, 7A) in 36 games for the Jets. The Green Bay, Wisc. native has also played 19 games for the Moose and has 18 points (8G, 10A). Appleton led the Moose in scoring last season with 66 points (22G, 44A) in 76 games en route to winning the Red Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL's Rookie of Year.
Poolman, 25, has played in 30 games for the Moose this season and has 17 points (3G, 14A) and six penalty minutes. The product of East Grand Forks, Minn. played 24 games for the Jets in 2017-18 and had a goal and an assist and he also appeared in a pair of playoff games for Winnipeg.
Appleby, 23, has played eight games for the Manitoba Moose this season and has a 1-6-0 record. He has also played nine games for the ECHL's Jacksonville Icemen, where he has a 3-5-0 record with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. The North Bay, Ont. native made his first three NHL appearances for the New Jersey Devils in 2017-18 and had a 0-1-0 record with a 1.45 GAA and a .945 SV%. In 74 career AHL games for the Moose, Binghamton Devils, and Albany Devils, Appleby has a 31-36-5 record with two shutouts, a 2.87 GAA, and a .898 SV%.
