Goals:
- T.J. Brennan scores for the Marlies on a one-timer from the low post while on the powerplay at 7:54 of the first period.
- Toronto's Mark Arcobello cuts to the middle where he receives a pass from Josh Leivo and beats Eric Comrie on a quick wrist shot at 4:18 of the second period.
- Nikita Soshnikov takes a pass from behind the net and beats Comrie over his shoulder at 11:11 of the second period.
- Mark Arcobello takes a puck off the side boards and fires a quick slap shot that beats Eric Comrie at 12:57 of the second period.
- William Nylander passes to Kasperi Kapanen on a two-on-one who out-waits Moose goaltender Jussi Olkinuora beating him on a wrist shot at 14:58 of the second period.
- During a scramble in front of the Marlies net, Nic Petan back hands the puck past an out of position Antoine Bibeau at 2:37 of the third period.
- John Albert makes a no-look backhand pass out front to Jiri Fronk, who beats Bibeau top shelf at 16:26 of the third period.
- Toronto's Zach Hyman scores shorthanded on an empty Moose net at 18:40 of the third period.
Highlights/Notes:
- Eric Comrie allowed four goals on 21 shots before he was replaced by Jussi Olkinuora who stopped seven of the eight shots he faced the rest of the game.
- Nic Petan scored his fourth goal of the season. He is second on the team in assists with 17 and third on the team in points with 21. He leads the Moose in points per-game average with 0.72.
- Jiri Fronk scored his fifth goal of the season. All five of his goals have come in the 10 games he has played at the MTS Centre this season.
- The AHL's top place team, the Toronto Marlies now lead the season series 7-0-0-0. The Moose have earned one point off of the Marlies this season in a shootout loss on Oct. 10. They will play one more time during the regular season.
Next game is this Saturday, Feb. 6 when the Moose host the Toronto Marlies at the MTS Centre at 2 p.m. CT.
