(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that center Carl Mallette (MAH-leht) has been recalled to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
Carl, ECHL player of the week March 7-13, has collected 12 points (6g-6a) in his 6 games since arriving in Toledo on March 8th in a trade with Greenville. Mallette scored his first professional hat trick on March 12th against Peoria. Carl, selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, currently leads the ECHL in points with 77 (30g-47a). Earlier this season, Mallette was recalled to the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the AHL in which he did not register a point in 3 games. The Hershey Bears are home tonight against Portland, at Rochester Friday, and back home Saturday and Sunday against Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre respectfully.
Toledo will return home this Friday night against the Dayton Bombers. Saturday, the Storm will be in Dayton. Toledo Hockey...A History of Champions!
