LAFAYETTE, LA â The Pee Dee Pride saw their road winless streak extended to 13 games on Wednesday night as they fell to the Louisiana IceGators 2-1 at the Cajundome.
Despite the fact that the Pride outshot the IceGators 13-4 in the opening 20 minutes of play, the game was scoreless after one period of play.

Jake Ortmeyer kept the Pride clearing attempt in at the right point, and fed Jim Shepherd at the top of the crease. Shephered deked Nick Boucher to the ice, and slid a shot past the Pride goaltender for his 12th tally of the season.
The IceGators went on top just 28 seconds later, as Roger Leonard skated down the left-wing slide and beat Boucher with a quick wrist shot for his seventh goal of the year.
Gregg Johnson saw his scoring streak come to an end at 11 games in the loss.
