Augusta, GA - The Augusta Lynx scored three unanswered goals against the Charlotte Checkers to come from behind in a 5-4 win Saturday night at the James Brown Arena.

Aaron Slattengren got the Lynx on the board just 43 seconds into the game with his 11th of the season from Brian Passmore and Shane Hynes, converting a two-on-one feed with a forehand through the five hole on Checkers' goaltender Chris Holt.

Trailing 2-1 later in the period, Passmore scored his first of the night to even the game at 16:12 from Hynes and Slattengren.

Charlotte would score the next two goals to move ahead 4-2 by the early part of the second period, setting the stage for the Augusta comeback.

Sean Blanchard started it off with his 10th of the season, jumping into the rush and scoring on a feed from Mike Erickson to make it 4-3 after two periods of play.

Passmore's second goal of the evening tied the game at 5:09 of the third period from Hynes and Slattengren, who each finished the night with three points.

Later in the period, with Augusta playing physical and forcing a turnover in its own end, Ryan Lang fed Garrett Bembridge streaking in from center for a breakaway goal over the left shoulder of Holt for the game winner at 11:31.

From there the Lynx would bar the door, stopping everything Charlotte could throw at the net. Dave McKee finished with 33 saves on the evening to record the win, while Holt stopped 32 shots in the loss.

Augusta gets back to game action on Tuesday night against the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:35 pm. Tickets are on sale through the Lynx office at (706) 724-4ICE, via all TicketMaster locations, and on line at www.TicketMaster.com.
