Daoust's Hat Trick Powers Cincinnati To Win

Johnstown, PA - The Cincinnati Cyclones defeated the Johnstown Chiefs by a score of 7-4 at the Cambria County War Memorial on Saturday.

Dmitri Tarabring scored for Johnstown just 18 seconds into the game, hammering Adam Henrich's goal-mouth pass past Cincinnati goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris to give the Chiefs a 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes later, Jean-Michel Daoust scored two goals, at 2:07 and 2:51 of the first period, to give Cincinnati a 2-1 lead. Stanislav Lascek would even the score for Johsntown with a blast from the top of the slot at 5:58 of the first period, and then Jean Desrochers scored on a rebound of a shot from Dmitri Tarabrin at 7:09 to give the Chiefs a 3-2 lead.

Andrew Martens would give the Chiefs a 4-2 lead when his dump-in attempt got caught between Grumet-Morris's skates and stayed there until it kicked free into the net at 7:09 of the second period. Travis Lisabeth would pull Cincinnati within one with a goal at 19:02 of the second, and then Mike Wirll broke in to the high slot and beat Chiefs' goaltender Morgan Cey high to the stick side to tie the game 16 seconds into the third period.

With the Cyclones on the power play, Daoust scored to complete his hat-trick at 2:31 of the third period. Cincinnati would get another goal from Wirll at 16:11 and an empty-net goal at 19:06 from Mathieu Aubin to seal the win.
