TRENTON, NJ - Two goals scored in a span of fifty-five seconds by the Wheeling Nailers in the third period allowed the road team to hold on for a 3-2 victory over the Trenton Titans at the Sovereign Bank Arena on Saturday.

With the score tied 1-1 in the final frame, a failed outlet pass by the Titans turned into a two-on-one for the Nailers, which Joe Guenther tucked home at 12:10 of the third. Wheeling then went up by two goals less than a minute later when Sean Collins notched a power play goal with 6:55 remaining in regulation.

Jim Henkel pulled Trenton back within one at 16:53 one-timing Scott Bertoli' s centering feed past Andy Franck, but the Titans would be unable to gather the game-tying tally despite a late 6-on-4 advantage.

The Nailers got on the board in the first period during a delayed call to the Titans as Paul Bissonnette joined the rush and banked a loose puck off of Gregg Naumenko and into the net at 13:37.

It would take 45:23 for Trenton to light the lamp, but Bertoli tied the score at one stealing Adam Edinger's faceoff win and sneaking the puck under a fallen Franck for his 12th of the season.

The Titans went 0-for-7 on the man-advantage and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.
