Lynx Deal Peterson, Make IR Moves

January 4, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release

The Augusta Lynx were busy on the roster move front today, dealing forward Chris Peterson to the Bakersfield Condors and making some moves on the IR front as well.

Peterson, 24, played in three games with the Lynx this season, amassing no points and a -2 rating after being claimed off waivers from the Gwinnett Gladiators. He was traded to the Condors for cash considerations.

"We had a lot of forwards and Bakersfield was looking to fill a need, so we dealt Chris there," said Lynx Head Coach and Director of Player Operations Stan Drulia. "We wish Chris the best, and appreciate his contributions to the team."

Augusta also moved defenseman Steve Munn to the 7-Day IR retroactive to 12/31, and bumped forward Jarrett Thompson from the 7-Day to the 30-Day IR. Rod Sarich remains on the 7-Day IR list, and all three players are eligible to come back this weekend if needed and healthy.

Augusta will face the Gwinnett Gladiators in a home and home series this Friday and Saturday starting in Augusta, followed by a return home Sunday for a matinee duel with the Louisiana IceGators at 4:05 pm. Tickets are $10, $13, and $14, and are available through the Lynx office by calling (706) 724-4ICE, through all TicketMaster locations, or on line at www.TicketMaster.com.
