Kinasewich Honored as Player of the Week in ECHL

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Manchester Monarchs, have announced that left wing Ryan Kinasewich has been named the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for December 27 – January 2.

The 21-year-old rookie currently is tied for the team lead in goals (12), assists (14), points (26), power-play goals (3) and game-winning goals (2). In five games last week, Kinasewich posted three multiple-goal games. The Alberta native posted six goals and nine points leading Reading to a 4-1-0 week.

Tuesday, December 28 in Mississippi, Kinasewich posted two-goals along with the game winner in a 5-2 victory over the Sea Wolves. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder than tallied his first four-point (2g, 2a) effort in Reading's 6-3 win over Louisiana in the Cajundome on Wednesday. Sunday afternoon in Beaumont, Kinasewich fired in two goals and an assist in the Royals 6-2 victory in Texas.

Kinasewich leads the team with eight multiple point games. He notched his first three and four-point games as a professional this week. In seven of his eight multiple-point efforts, the Royals have recorded victories.

The Reading Royals are entering their fourth season in Reading, Pennsylvania after relocating from Columbus, Ohio. The Royals enjoyed their first Kelly Cup playoff appearance last season, claiming the Northern Division Title and were one win away from qualifying for the Kelly Cup Finals. The Royals and the City of Reading are proud to be hosting the 13th annual ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition presented by Coors Light on January 25 and 26.

Yuengling is handing out Royals license plate frames to the first 1,500 fans. Reading hosts division-rival Wheeling on Saturday, January 8th. St. Joseph Medical is handing out primary care kits to the first 1,500 fans through the gates. Both games face off at 7:05 p.m. ET.
