Greenville Grrrowl News Release

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced that CHRIS LYNCH (F) has been loaned to the Bridgeport Soundtigers of the AHL, and will play this weekend in Providence, RI and Hersey, PA in road games. LYNCH is the team's second leading scorer with 39 points (20 goals, 19 assists) through 36 games this season with the Grrrowl. He will still compete in next week's Par-A-Dice Casino ECHL All-Star Game festivities in Peoria, IL on January 20th and 21st.

"We are excited for Chris to get this chance to show his talents in the AHL," stated John Marks, Head Coach / VP of Hockey Operations for the Grrrowl. "Chris has worked hard, and deserves a shot with a team at the next level. He played well in the Providence AHL camp in pre-season, and we are happy that someone has kept tabs on him, and wants to see him in person."

STACEY BAUMAN (6-1, 180lb. Defenseman) has been activated from the injured reserve list, and JOHN NAIL (6-1, 200lb. Forward) has been placed the 7-day injured reserve list after suffering a shoulder injury in Tuesday nights' game with Toledo.

Greenville travels to Augusta on Friday night to take on the Lynx, and will continue on to Columbus for a Saturday night game with the Cottonmouths. The Grrrowl will have a break from games during the ECHL All-Star Break and return to action on Friday 1/23 with a road game against the Columbia Inferno. Greenville Grrrowl single-game tickets, mini-plans and flex packs are on sale now. Fans can call 864-467-GRRR or log on to grrrowl.com for more information.
