Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL are proud to announce that former Bully Carl Corazzini has been recalled from Providence by the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Corazzini's first game will not only be his NHL debut, it will give him the honor of being the first player from Atlantic City to play in the National Hockey League.

"As a coach and as an organization, you take a lot of pride when one of your own gets called up to the NHL," said Bullies Head Coach Mike Haviland. "It goes to show your current players that the dream of making it (to the NHL) is not an impossible one. We're thrilled for Carl and the opportunity he's getting."

Corazzini, 24, spent last season between the Bullies and the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League. In 27 games with Atlantic City, he tallied 13 goals and 8 assists, and finished tied for third on the roster with 4 game-winning goals. A native of Framingham, MA, Corazzini was leading Providence in goals at the time of his call-up with 12, and ranked third on the Bruins in scoring with 18 points. He currently leads the AHL with four shorthanded goals.

When he debuts in the line-up, Corazzini will become the 235th player lifetime from the ECHL to advance to the NHL, and the 21st this season alone. That could come as soon as tonight as Boston travels to Buffalo to battle the Sabres. Corazzini will wear #52.

Be apart of "South Jersey's Biggest Philadelphia Eagles Pep Rally" tomorrow night at 7:05PM when the Bullies host the Trenton Titans on "Eagles Night" at Boardwalk Hall. Great seats are still available and tickets start as low as $6 dollars.

Celebrate a new tradition when "Hockey Afternoon In Atlantic City" returns on Saturday, January 17 at 2:05PM vs. the Charlotte Checkers. For more information or to order tickets, call the Bullies sales department at (609) 348-PUCK or visit our website at www.boardwalkbullies.com.
