Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons have loaned forward Boris Protsenko to the Houson Aeros of the American Hockey League, the top affiliate of the National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild.

Protsenko has played 14 games in a Falcons uniform, scoring six times and adding nine assists, and is one of two Falcons to record a hat trick this season, which he did on Dec. 12 against the Long Beach Ice Dogs. The native of Ukraine becomes the second Falcons player to make the jump to the AHL this season, joining goaltender Nolan Schaefer, who is currently playing for Fresno's AHL affiliate, the Cleveland Barons.

The Falcons play the third game of a five-game home stand tomorrow at 7 p.m. when they host the San Diego Gulls. The Falcons will celebrate their affiliation with the NHL's San Jose Sharks by wearing Sharks-themed specialty jerseys during the game and giving away Sharks Jersey Radios to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. The game-worn specialty jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with all proceeds to benefit Community Food Bank.

Tickets for the game are still available for as little as $8 and can be purchased at the Save Mart Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, which include select Save Mart Supermarkets, Tower Records, Wherehouse Music and Ritmo Latino locations, charged by phone at 485-TIXS or bought online by clicking the Ticketmaster icon throughout www.fresnofalcons.com.
