Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors are proud to introduce Mercy & Memorial Hospitals as the associate sponsor for the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic, joining the presenting sponsor CCM, coming to Bakersfield on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Additionally, Bank of the Sierra is the title sponsor for the All-Star Fan Fest on Tuesday, Jan. 25, and the Bakersfield Convention and Visitor's Bureau will serve alongside BFL Canada as co-sponsors for the ECHL Hall of Fame Luncheon, the afternoon of Jan. 26, prior to the All-Star Game.
The first 2,000 children 12 and under at the All-Star Game will receive a free All-Star cereal bowl, courtesy of Mercy & Memorial Hospitals.
The trio is a part of a select group of partners that help to make the All-Star Classic, as well as supporting promotions and events such as the Fan Fest and Hall of Fame Luncheon, possible. The Fan Fest offers an All-Star cap, rally towel, poster and food from a lineup of Bakersfield's All-Star restaurants, as well as a chance to meet the players and pose with both the Stanley Cup and the Kelly Cup, all for just $10. The Hall of Fame Luncheon features keynote speaker Dave Poulin, who is a former NHL All-Star and the Vice President of Hockey Operations for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as a commemorative Hall of Fame Medallion Puck, all for $40.
"Without everyone's help, this event just wouldn't be possible. It's that simple," said Condors President Matthew Riley. "Our corporate partners are a huge part of our success in Condorstown every season, and we're proud to have their support for this big undertaking. It's going to be a great time, and we're glad to have everyone on board."
"Mercy and Memorial Hospitals are thrilled to be a part of bringing an event of this caliber to Bakersfield," said Scott Thygerson, Vice President of Business Development with Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield. "The All-Star game is another great opportunity to watch an exciting game and spend some quality time with friends and family, courtesy of the Condors."
