The Alaska Aces, proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and AHL's Peoria Rivermen, have announced that defenseman Daryl Boyle was recalled by the Rivermen on Friday morning. Boyle appeared in four games for Alaska in his second Aces stint this season. Boyle will join the Rivermen as they continue a three-game week on Friday and Saturday night. Boyle, 23, had four assists, and was a +2 in four games since joining the Aces just over a week ago. The Aces went 2-1-1 in the stretch. Having played in five games for the Aces, Boyle is now playoff eligible for the club in 2011. This season with Peoria, he has two assists in 11 games played.
The Aces continue their five-game road trip on Friday with a trip to face the Bakersfield Condors. The game can be heard back in Anchorage on NewsTalk 750AM KFQD, beginning at 5:45pm AKST. The aces will then continue their busy week when they visit Las Vegas on Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday, completing a stretch of five games in seven nights. The Aces will return home to host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Friday and Saturday, January 21st and 22nd.
