SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Lincoln Saltdogs snapped a six-game losing streak on Saturday, knocking off Sioux Falls 11-5. Lincoln improves to 26-21 on the second half of the season.

Trailing 4-0 after four innings, the Saltdogs offense roared to life in the fifth. Shawn McGill walked with one out, and Gavin Dickey doubled him home to make it 4-1. Shea McFeely followed with an RBI single, and when Brandon Jones followed with a single, Beau Torbert bobbled the ball in left to put runners at second and third. Josh Burrus came up and hit a two-run single to tie the game.

Lincoln then took the lead for good in the sixth, on a solo home run by Phil Hawke, his 12th of the season. Dickey hit his second RBI double of the game later in the inning, making the score 6-4. The Saltdogs finally put the game away with a five-run seventh inning, scoring on a two-run single by Hawke, a two-run double by Argelis Nuñez and an RBI single by Dickey. Sioux Falls tacked on an unearned run in the eighth to set the final margin.

Saltdogs starter Jim Paduch (7-5) pitched into the seventh inning to earn the win, allowing four runs on seven hits. He gave up a pair of two-run homers in the fourth inning, but settled back down after his offense gave him the lead. At the plate, Dickey finished 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored, while Hawke ended up 2-for-5 with three RBI and a pair of runs. Burrus and Nuñez each had a pair of hits as well for Lincoln.

Lincoln will enter the final day of the regular season tied with Wichita for first place in the American Association North, with St. Paul one game behind. The Saltdogs take on Sioux Falls at 2:05pm, with righty Justin Knoff scheduled to make the start.
