Wichita starting pitcher Adam Cowart scattered seven hits over seven shutout innings and LF Greg Porter was 2-for-3 with his 21st home run to lead the Wingnuts to a shutout of Grand Prairie. With the victory, Cowart runs his record to 8-5 on the season. Wingnuts RF Dustan Mohr was also 2-for-3 in the game with a stolen base. Wichita reliever Justin Dowdy struck out two of the five batters he faced in the ninth inning to earn his 17th save. With the win and the Lincoln loss, the Wingnuts now lead the North Division by one game over the Saltdogs.

Pensacola starting pitcher Randy Beam allowed two runs on three hits while striking out four in five innings of work to lead the Pelicans to an 8-3 win over Shreveport-Bossier. With the win the Pelicans clinched the second half South Division crown. Pensacola 1B Marcos Rodriguez led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI. Shreveport-Bossier 1B Christopher Garcia was 2-for-4 with a solo homer to lead the Captains in the losing effort.

Sioux Falls RF Beau Torbert was 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and seven RBI to lead the Canaries past Lincoln in a slugfest. Including Torbert's pair of homers, there were a total of seven in the game. 1B Patrick Reilly also went deep for Sioux Falls and finished the game 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and two RBI. DH Argelis Nunez hit a pair of home runs and was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI to lead Lincoln at the plate in the losing effort.

The Fort Worth Cats scored twice in the second inning to take a 2-0 lead and never looked back en route to an easy 10-4 win. Cats 3B Mike Bell led the way offensively, going 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three runs scored and two RBI. Eight of Fort Worth's nine hitters recorded at least two hits in the game, and the Cats tallied 17 as a team. Cats reliever Matt Gibbs allowed two earned runs on seven hits while striking out five in five innings pitched to earn his second win of the season. El Paso CF Kennard Bibbs was 3-for-4 with a run scored in the loss.
