Lightning Reassign Pierre-Cedric Labrie to Syracuse

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.

Labrie, 27, has skated in 13 games this season with the Lightning, posting 20 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 234-pound forward has played in 46 career NHL games, all with the Lightning, recording two goals and five points to go along with 65 penalty minutes. Last season Labrie collected career highs for games played (19), goals (two), points (three) and penalty minutes (30).

The Baie-Comeau, Quebec native has played in 350 career AHL games with the Manitoba Moose, Peoria Rivermen, Norfolk Admirals and Crunch, amassing 50 goals and 119 points to go along with 610 penalty minutes. He also won the Calder Cup with the Admirals in 2012.

An undrafted forward, Labrie was originally signed by the Vancouver Canucks on July 9, 2007. Vancouver traded him to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for forward Yan Stastny on March 3, 2010. He was originally signed by the Lightning as a free agent on December 29, 2011.
