Tampa Bay Reassigns Riku Helenius to Florida of ECHL

Syracuse, NY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned goaltender Riku Helenius to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL, Tampa Bay Lightning Assistant GM Julien BriseBois announced today.
Helenius, 25, appeared in five games with the Crunch this season with a 2-3-0-0 record to go along with a 3.43 goals allowed average and .875 save percentage. The 6-foot-3, 208-pound netminder also played in 32 Crunch games during the 2012-13 season but did not appear during the 2013 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Palkane, Finland native was drafted in the first round, 15th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
