Lightning Reassign Namestnikov to Syracuse

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Vladislav Namestnikov to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.

Namestnikov, 6-foot, 182 pounds, has appeared in 26 games with the Lightning this season, recording three goals and seven points with a plus-3 rating. He skated in last night's game against the St. Louis Blues. Namestnikov notched his first career NHL goal and assist on October 13 against the Montreal Canadiens, as well as his first game-winning goal on October 24 at the Winnipeg Jets. He has played in 28 career NHL games, all with Tampa Bay.

A native of Zhukovskiy, Russia, Namestnikov has skated in 126 career AHL games, posting 35 goals and 93 points. He has played in 26 games with the Crunch this season, registering nine goals and 24 points. Despite spending significant time with the Lightning, the 22-year-old ranks third on Syracuse for assists and fourth for points. Namestnikov is tied for second on the team for power-play goals with three.

Namestnikov was drafted by the Lightning in the first round, 27th overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
