Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (56-37) play Game 2 of a three-game series against the Columbus Clippers (49-44) at Huntington Park... With a 3-1 victory last night, the Pigs won their fourth-consecutive game to start 1-0 on this seven-game, West Division road trip. The surging Pigs, who maintained their franchise-record/season-high, 6.5-game lead over Scranton/WB in the IL North, have won eight of their last nine contests and own a 27-11 record since June 3. Lehigh Valley also improved to 19 games above .500 for the first time since Aug. 9, 2017 (68-49)... The Clippers -- Cleveland's top affiliate -- snapped a season-high-tying, four-game winning streak in addition to a six-game, home winning streak. Still, Columbus has posted an 11-5 record since June 28.
RHP Jacob Waguespack (0-5, 5.15) will start for LHV against RHP Dominic DeMasi (1-0, 2.19).
First-Pitch today is 12:05 p.m.
The Pigs continue to own the IL's best record, as they hold a 2.0-game lead on Durham (54-39)
