Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (28-22) play Game 2 of a three-game series against the Charlotte Knights (21-30) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 5-1 loss last night, the Pigs have dropped their last three contests and have started 0-1 on this six-game homestand. This three-game skid matches their longest losing streak of the season, now done four times. Still, the Pigs have posted a 20-11 record since April 27 and have held sole possession of first place in the North for 22-straight days since May 8... The Knights -- the White Sox top affiliate -- have won four of their last five affairs. With a win tonight, they will clinch back-to-back series victories for the first time this season. The Knights' previous series victory against Indianapolis was the first in their last eight tries since April 27-29 (7-17 in between series wins).
LHP Cole Irvin (5-1, 3.17) will start for LHV against RHP Carson Fulmer (1-0, 1.80).
Tonight is Jewish Heritage Night, presented by the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley. First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
