The IronPigs (29-25) continue their nine-game, eight-day South Division road trip with Game 1 of a four-game series against the South's first-place Durham Bulls (32-23)... With a 4-3 win yesterday in Norfolk, the Pigs took the five-game series, 4-1, and have won 11 of their last 13 meetings with the Tides since May 17, 2013. Lehigh Valley boasts the best road record in the IL at 17-10 and the second-best record in the IL in May at 18-11 (Syracuse is 18-10)... Durham -- Tampa's top affiliate -- lost 1-0 at Toledo last night to split a four-game set at Fifth-Third Field. Still, the Bulls went 6-2 on their eight-game, West Division road trip by sweeping four contests at Columbus. The Bulls are 12-7 since snapping their season-long, five-game losing streak May 5-9.
LHP Greg Smith (4-2, 3.74) will start for LHV against LHP Mike Montgomery (6-1, 3.47).
First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m. at Durham Bulls Athletic Park -- where the Pigs have held a 14-10 all-time advantage.
May Day! : The Pigs are 18-11 in May with two games left -- one win away from their winningest month all-time (19-10 in June '13).
