Lake County Captains News Release

The Lake County Captains, the class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will do their part to ensure that LeBron James returns to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers next season by hosting a "Please Stay LeBron" night on July 1, the first day of the NBA's free agency period.

The Captains will re-name themselves the "LeLake LeCounty LeCaptains" for the evening and all LeCaptains players and staff will add the "Le" prefix to their first names. Fans are encouraged to wear their LeBron jerseys, shoes and other Cavaliers gear to the park.

The LeCaptains are partnering with The News-Herald, which will feature a full-page insert in the July 1 edition of the News-Herald that reads "Please Stay LeBron!" On the insert, there will be a special offer where fans can bring the insert to the LeCaptains box office that night and receive tickets for $6.00 each in honor of LeBron's new jersey #6 next season. There will also be additional full-page inserts available inside LeClassic Park.

Sports Time Ohio (STO) will be at the LeClassic Park that day with the All Bets are Off show starring Bruce Drennan broadcasting live from Corona's Castaways Bar inside the park. The STO show Beer Money will be taping a show at Castaways as well during the game that night. Fans will be allowed to enter the ballpark at 4 PM to watch All Bets are Off.

The Captains on field host, LeGrover, will be wearing a custom "LeCaptains" jersey with #23 on the back. The jersey will be auctioned off during the game to benefit LeCaptains charities.

In-game promotions will include two fans doing their best Austin Carr impersonation of a highlight of LeBron, plus an on-field slam dunk contest featuring a mini hoop and three young fans being judged by LeGrover, LeSkipper and LeCaptain LeTony.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Fans may visit CaptainsBaseball.com for information on alternate routes to and from Classic Park during the current construction that is taking place on Route 91. The Captains are working with the City of Eastlake and ODOT to ensure the smoothest possible traffic flow for fans attending games at Classic Park until the construction is completed.

The Lake County Captains are a Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and play their home games at Classic Park in Eastlake, at the corner of State Route 91 and Vine Street. For more information on the Captains, please visit the team's official website at www.CaptainsBaseball.com.
