Wisconsin Timber Rattlers News Release
GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are opening the second half of the 2010 Midwest League season with a pair of special events. Friday, June 25 is the second annual 'Peanut Free' Night at Time Warner Cable Field. Marvel (r) Superhero Iron Man is also making an appearance when the Rattlers host the Burlington Bees at 7:05pm.
As part of the preparation for 'Peanut Free' Night, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers will be removing all peanuts, peanut butter, and peanut based products from the stadium. Time Warner Cable Field will receive a thorough rinsing to rid the ballpark of as much peanut residue as is possible. Even though peanuts and products made with nuts or peanut oil will not be sold, the Timber Rattlers cannot guarantee that all peanut residues will be out of the ballpark. But, every effort will be made to allow fans with peanut allergies to enjoy a Timber Rattlers game.
Additionally, Marvel (r) Superhero Iron Man is making his first ever appearance at Time Warner Cable Field. The Invincible Iron Man will meet and greet fans before and during the game. He will be available for autographs and pictures with fans on the third base picnic deck.
The game on June 25 is also a North Shore Bank Family Night. Children 12 and under eat free as part of the evening. To cap off the evening, ThedaCare Orthopedics presents Kids Run the Bases for children 14 and under after the post-game fireworks display sponsored by 95.9 KISS-FM.
Tickets for the second half opener and for all remaining Timber Rattlers home games are available. They may be purchased one of three ways: On-line at www.timberrattlers.com, over the phone at 800-WI-TIMBER, or in person at the Time Warner Cable Field Box Office.
