
Legends Opening Homestand Features Variety Of Fun

The Lexington Legends will open their 10th season at Applebee's Park Friday night against the Greenville Drive. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Fans can join in a wide variety of fun leading up to opening day and throughout the opening eight-game homestand.
Legends Downtown BBQ Thursday and Friday: The Legends will hold their annual barbecue in downtown Lexington on the courthouse plaza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both Thursday and Friday, April 15 and 16. Join Big L for great food and fun downtown!
Baseball begins Friday night, along with all the promotions and entertainment, including fireworks, that fans have come to expect from the Legends.
"The tenth season of Legends baseball at Applebee's Park promises to be the best yet," said Legends President/CEO Alan Stein. "From the brand new video boards to the promotions to the improvements in the ballpark, Andy Shea and his staff are committed to making the experience this spring and summer at 'the Orchard' an experience not to be missed!"
The opening homestand schedule:
Friday, April 16: Legends vs. Greenville Drive, 7:05 p.m.
-60-degree guarantee - If the temperature is below 60 degrees at the time of the first pitch, each fan in attendance will receive a voucher for a ticket to another 2010 home game, based on availability.
-Victory guarantee and "Save the 'stache" - If the Legends lose on opening night, President/CEO Alan Stein will shave his mustache for the first time in 40 years.
-Dollar Day - Enjoy food and beverages at bargain prices: dollar Pepsi's, dollar beers, dollar dogs, and dollar burgers!
