LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws have been winning more than just baseball games.

BlueClaws Executive Chef Sandy Cohen was crowned Boss of the Sauce at 105.7 The Hawk's annual sauce contest Monday night at Jenkinson's in Point Pleasant Beach.

Cohen's sauce was selected the winner in a blind taste test by judges. There were 19 other entries.

"I'm honored that our sauce was selected," said Cohen. "There were obviously some other great restaurants in the competition, and it's very special for us to win."

Cohen is entering his sixth year with the BlueClaws and 17th in the industry. He is in charge of all catered food at the ballpark, including party decks, and SkyBoxes, where fans can now sample his famous tomato sauce.

"Our fans have always known Sandy was a great cook," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "Now everyone else does."

BlueClaws fans can enjoy Sandy's food daily in three picnic areas, two party decks or one SkyBox. Picnic outings feature a barbeque menu of hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken.
