The Lexington Legends wrapped up their four game series with West Virginia with an 8-4 win on Friday night. The Legends used a five run seventh to rally past the Power. Chris Clark homered for the second time in 2005 to lead the charge. Lexington improves to 45-29 on the year and to 3-1 in the second half.

Andrew Alvarado (1-0) got the win in his first outing with Lexington. The right-hander worked two innings allowing just a run on two hits. Brian Montalbo (1-3) suffered his third loss of the season after giving up three runs in two frames.

Ben Zobrist had three hits to bump his average to .304. Jonny Ash, Luke Barganier and Kevin Vital had two hits apiece.

Vital played a key role in the play of the game in the seventh. With Lexington trailing 4-3, the DH barreled around third and scored in a collision at the plate after dislodging the ball from catcher Carlos Corporan. A dazed Corporan struggled to find the ball allowing Ole Sheldon to score to give the Legends the lead for good.

The Legends head to Hagerstown for the first half playoff game on Saturday. Troy Patton is set to dual Gaby Hernandez at 7:05. The Progressive Direct pre-game show will kick off Legends Network coverage at 6:50.
