Late-Game Defense Propells OKC Past Texas

FRISCO, Texas - The Oklahoma City Blue held the Texas Legends scoreless in the final four minutes to pick up a 110-95 win on Saturday at The Dr. Pepper Arena.

The Legends made a late 10-1 scoring run to cut the Blue's lead to five with four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but Oklahoma City's defense held Texas to 0-of-11 shooting for the remainder of the game to earn its fourth win in five games.

Richard Solomon recorded his fourth double-double of the season by scoring a career-high 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting to go with 12 rebounds. Josh Huestis tallied a double-double of his own with 11 points and 11 boards.

Mario Little collected 18 points, six rebounds and five assists and Semaj Christon added 13 points. Off the bench, Marquis Teague scored 16 and Xavier Alexander totaled 10 points.

Texas guard Ricky Ledo scored 12 first-quarter points to help the Legends jump out to an early 10-point lead and build a 28-22 advantage after the opening frame. The Blue responded with a 16-2 run to open the second, including 11 unanswered points in the quarter's first two and a half minutes. Oklahoma City took a 57-46 lead into halftime and led by double figures for a majority of the second half.

Oklahoma City (8-9) outrebounded the Legends 54-40 and scored 60 of its points in the paint.

Texas (11-7) was led by Eric Griffin with 24 points and five boards.
