
Las Vegas Sits In First Place of Pacific Division

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a perfect 3-0-0 record last week starting with a 5-3 win over Toledo at the Orleans Arena on Tuesday night. Friday night, Las Vegas defeated Fresno 3-2 at the Save Mart Center. Sunday, the Wranglers defeated the Thunder 2-1 at the Stockton Arena. Las Vegas is 7-1-2 in their last ten games played.
This Tuesday, Las Vegas hosts the defending Kelly Cup Champion Alaska Aces at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday the Wranglers will visit the Idaho Steelheads. All three games in Boise start at 6:10 pm (PST) at Qwest Arena. Las Vegas will head to Victoria for three games after the three-game set in Idaho.

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Toledo Storm 5-3 on Tuesday night in front of 3,507 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' forward Steve Crampton's 13th goal of the season at 14:25 of the third period proved to be the game winner. Forward Marco Peluso scored twice for Las Vegas. Las Vegas defensemen Jason Krischuk and Aaron Power each added two assists. Storm winger Matt Zultek added a goal and an assist for Toledo in the loss.

Las Vegas 3 at Fresno 2
Fresno, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Fresno Falcons 3-2 at the Save Mart Center on Friday night. Defenseman Aaron Power scored the game-winning goal. Goalie Kevin Nastiuk made 30 saves for the Wranglers third straight win. Forward Derek Edwardson scored a goal and added an assist. Center Chris Neiszner also scored in the victory.

Las Vegas 2 at Stockton 1
Stockton, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Stockton Thunder 2-1 at the Stockton Arena on Sunday night. Goalie Kevin Nastiuk made 27 saves in his fourth straight victory, holding the Thunder off the scoreboard for all but 45-seconds of the game. Defenseman Aaron Power and center Derek Edwardson each scored as the team took sole possession of first place in the Pacific Division.

Alaska Aces - (35-12-2, 72 points, 1st Place, West) -
The defending champs come to Las Vegas with a five-game winning streak. The Aces rank second in both offense and defense. Las Vegas swept a three-game series at Sullivan Arena in November in the only meetings of the season between the two clubs. Alaska has posted a 26-5-2 record since November 29th and they are 15-2-0 in their last 17 games played. Center Kimbi Daniels leads the Aces with 48 assists and 62 points in 47 games played. Olivier Fillion (22) and Kevin Croxton (20) lead a cast of ten Aces with double-digit goal totals. Defenseman Matt Shasby leads the ECHL with a +34 rating. Winger Hans Benson ranks third in the ECHL with 191 penalty minutes, despite playing in only 27 games. Goalie Derek Gustafson is 19-8-1 with a 2.44 goals against average and a .913 save percentage. The Aces are 15-6-1 on the road.
Idaho Steelheads - (25-18-3, 53 points, 2nd Place, West) -
Las Vegas leads the season series with 4-0-1 record. The Steelheads are 11-9-2 at home and 6-3-1 in their last ten games played. Center Marty Flichel leads the team in scoring with 22 goals and 32 assists for 54 points in 44 games played. Feisty winger Lance Galbraith is second in the ECHL with 198 penalty minutes in 43 games played. Goalie Steve Silverthorn is among the league leaders with a record of 21-12-3, a 2.75 goals against average and a .904 save percentage.
