ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that forward Ryan Lang was called up to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League on Sunday and that defenseman Craig Switzer has been re-assigned to the club from the Quad City Flames of the AHL.

Lang, who attended training camp with the Aeros, goes to Houston after playing in the Everblades' first two games of the regular season. The 28-year-old recorded one assist in the two games vs. Charlotte this past weekend. Houston is the fourth AHL team Lang has skated with during his five-year career, having also played for Portland (2005-06), Providence and Rochester (2006-07).

Switzer returns to the Everblades after a weekend call-up to Quad City. The 24-year-old made his professional debut this weekend, skating in a pair of games for the Flames. Switzer did not register a point in the two games, at home vs. Chicago and at Iowa.
