CHECKERS FIND REDEMPTION IN FLORIDA, WIN 3-1
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers bounced back after a defeat the previous night to find redemption against the Florida Everblades by a 3-1 win.

- Checkers forward Peter Tsimikalis started the season with a goal against Florida just 1:20 into the opening game.
- Rookie forward Matthew Ford scored two goals in his first professional hockey game against Florida on Saturday night.
