Condors 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament just a week away

The Bakersfield Life Magazine's "Greatest Thing About Bakersfield" poll has reached the quarterfinals and the Condors continue to roll. Condors Hockey cruised past the majestic Fox Theater in the Sweet 16, and now must get past Luigi's in order to reach the final four. Voters will have until Oct. 31 to cast their ballots. The semi-final match-ups will be announced in the November issue of the Bakersfield Life Magazine. The final round will take place in January, when the greatest thing about Bakersfield will be announced.

Want to have your child's photo be on the Condors website? Parents of Kids Club Members can send in a photo of their children to be put on the Condors website. If you would like to see your child's photo on the jumbotron during our "Future Condors" segment, you can also send us a photo of your child dressed in hockey gear, Condors gear or at a Condors game.

Simply attach the photo to an email addressed to bmarsh@bakersfieldcondors.com with the words "Kids Club Photo" in the subject line if your child is a member of the kids club, or "Future Condors" if you would like your child's photo to be on the jumbotron. Kids club members photos will appear on www.bakersfieldcondors.com/galleries, and several future Condors photos will be shown at each home game.

This Week in Condorstown:

Tuesday, Oct. 21: The "Voice of the Condors," Kevin Bartl, will appear on "There It Is! the Jake Stevens Show" at 7:45 a.m. on ESPN Radio 1230. Bartl and Stevens will discuss the Condors three upcoming games this week and everything else Condors related. "There It Is!" airs Monday - Friday from 7 to 9 a.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 22: The Condors are at The Nest for thefifth annual Toy Drive Night, sponsored by ABC23 and R&D Leather Furniture. Fans that donate a new, unwrapped toy will receive $1 terrace admission to Wednesday's game. The Toy Drive has brought in nearly 1,000 toys in its history, and the toys will be donated to needy families in Kern County during the Holiday Season.

Thursday, Oct. 23: The Condors Coach's Show will air live on ESPN Radio 1230 at its new time from 5 to 6 p.m. and its new location at the Hungry Hunter at 3580 Rosedale Hwy. The Condors Coach's Show will feature a Condors player, Head Coach Marty Raymond and the "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl.

Saturday, Oct. 25: The Bakersfield Condors host the Fresno Falcons for Goalie Mask Giveaway Night, courtesy of 106.1 KRAB Radio and Bakersfield Ice Sports Center. The first 2,000 children, 12-and-under, will receive a Condors replica goalie mask, just in time for Halloween!

Monday, Oct. 27: The Condors Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the Rio Bravo Country Club and participants will once again team up with Condors players for a day of golf to help raise money forKern Bridges Youth Homes. Teams are composed of four entrants and a Condors player, and includes a Condors golf tournament polo, greens fees, cart, range balls prior to the start, a sack lunch and a deep pit BBQ dinner after the tournament, with chances to win prizes throughout the day. There are only a couple spots left, so call the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) for more information.

Season seats and mini-plans, starting at just $42, are on sale now. Group outings and reservations for the Condors on-ice and VIP suites are now available as well. Stop by the Condors office at 1001 Truxtun Ave. or call 324-PUCK (7825) for remaining seat availability.

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322- 2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
