HAGERSTOWN, MD - The Lakewood BlueClaws lost 5-2 to the Hagerstown Suns on Monday night. The loss snapped a 2-game win streak for Lakewood. The BlueClaws faced some very good pitching for Hagerstown, and just couldn't overcome an early 3-1 deficit after 2 innings.

Chien-Ming Wang started the game for Hagerstown making his First appearance in a professional baseball game in almost 2 years. Wang threw 3 innings and allowed 4 hits and 2 runs in his first game action since July 4, 2009. After 3 solid innings, Wang gave way to stud prospect AJ Cole who was dominant against Lakewood on Monday. Cole tossed 5 innings of 2 hit shutout baseball while fanning 6 to improve to 2-4 on the season. Lakewood RHP David Buchanan got hit around a little as he allowed 8 hits and 5 runs while picking up the loss to fall to 8-5 in 2011.

Lakewood was paced offensively by Zach Collier who was 3-4 at the plate with a triple, a run scored and his team leading 23rd stolen base of the season. Domingo Santana was 1-3 with an RBI double and he was hit by a pitch. Hagerstown SS Jason Martinson was 3-4 and hit his 8th HR of the season with a line drive solo homer in the 6th inning off BlueClaws starter David Buchanan.
