HICKORY, NC - Fresh off winning the 1st-Half Northern Division Championship, the Crawdads kicked off the second half of the season by splitting a four-game series with the West Virginia Power at L.P. Frans Stadium.
The 'Dads are 42-30 overall this season, the top overall record in the South Atlantic League. Hickory's 2-2 record in the second half is tied for third in the Northern Division, only one game behind the Kannapolis Intimidators and Lakewood BlueClaws.

PROFAR SELECTED TO PLAY IN MLB ALL-STAR FUTURES GAME!
Crawdads SS Jurickson Profar will be representing Hickory on the big stage during this year's MLB All-Star festivities in Phoenix, AZ, as the 18-year-old has been selected to play on the World Team in the 2011 XM All-Star Futures Game on July 10. Profar becomes the first player to ever be selected to the Futures Game as a current member of the Crawdads, and is one of only seven Class A players selected this year.
The Willemstad, Curacao native will suit up with former Crawdads LHP Martin Perez ('09) and other top prospects originating from countries around the world to take on the U.S. Team at Chase Field, the home of the Arizona DiamondBacks.

~ RHP Ryan Rodebaugh is tied for 4th in the league with 11 saves
~ RHP Roman Mendez leads the league's pitchers with a .857 winning percentage
~ C Tomas Telis leads the team with a .363 batting average in June
~ INF/OF Alejandro Selen has a team-high four homers in June
~The Crawdads are 15-6 in June, averaging 6.8 runs per game while only allowing 3.9 runs per contest
~ Hickory is tied for 2nd in the SAL with a .269 team batting average and .348 on-base percentage
~ The Crawdads also have the 3rd-lowest ERA in the league at 3.67
