Pinch runner Brandon Boggs scored on a wild pitch with two down in the ninth giving the LumberKings a come from behind victory, giving Chris Jaile (1-1; 3.22), who went the final 3.2 without allowing a run, his first win of the year.

Starter Kyle Rogers (6.54) lasted just 2.1, having allowed two runs on three hits and four walks before giving way to Roberto Perez who held the Cougars to a run on three hits over the next three.

A Brandon Cashman triple was the only one of five Clinton hits that went for extra bases. Casey Benjamin, who singled and walked, driving in a run, was the only L-King to reach twice.

Friday Night

Tonight is our mini bat give away sponsored by Clinton National Bank and KWQC-TV, Lyons Middle School Night as well as Fish Fry Friday. Tonight is game two of a four game series against the Kane County Cougars. Gates open at 5:30 pm and game time is 7:00 pm.

Pitching tonight for the LumberKings is John Bannister.

The LumberKings are home through Wednesday, May 15th. Wisconsin comes to town the 13th-15th. The LumberKings are currently a game behind the TimberRattlers in the Western Division. These games could possibly determine who is the Western Division champion and wild card winners.
