
Krahn Reassigned By Dallas To Chicago

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that goaltender Brent Krahn has been reassigned by the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars from Las Vegas to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves.
A sixth-year goalie, Krahn posted a 1-4-0 record with a 4.04 goals against average and a .874 save percentage in six appearances with the Wranglers this season. Krahn returns to the AHL where he spent the last five seasons with Quad City, Omaha, Lowell and San Antonio. Krahn signed with Dallas as a free agent after playing within the Calgary Flames system for his entire career. Krahn was drafted in the first round (#9 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. The Winnipeg, MB native was assigned to the Wranglers as a rookie in 2003-04. The 26-year old played in 14 games with Las Vegas, going 7-5-2 with a 2.61 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.
Overall, Krahn has played in 169 pro games, with 155 coming at the AHL level. The former first round pick is 78-64-16 all-time with a 2.57 goals against average and a .913 save percentage. Krahn is 71-59-14 in the AHL with a career 2.56 goals against average and a .911 save percentage. Krahn has 11 career shutouts. In his best pro season, the Manitoban posted a 20-11-2 mark with a 2.49 goals against average and a .923 save percentage with Lowell in 2004-05. Krahn posted a career best six shutouts with the Lock Monsters in 2004-05.
Las Vegas continues a five-game road trip on Thursday in Fresno at 7:05 PM at Selland Arena. The team will stop in Bakersfield on Saturday before returning home for the Midnight game on Monday, December 15th at 11:59 PM.
