Falcons Switch Players with AHL

FRESNO, CALIF. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that Falcons' centerman Oren Eizenman has been loaned to the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. Eizenman returned to the Falcons lineup on December 7 to play the last half of the game and only played in one additional game this stretch before being reassigned to San Antonio.

In a separate transaction, the Falcons NHL affiliate , the Chicago Blackhawks, has assigned defenseman J. C. Sawyer to Fresno. Sawyer was a fifth round draft pick of the Minnesota Wild in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Sawyer has played 14 games for the Rockford IceHogs this season notching 3g-1a. Sawyer made his AHL debut with Rockford on 11/3/07 in the IceHogs 2-1 win over Manitoba. J. C. accumulated a career high 15g-62a-77 pts during his final regular season in juniors. His point total of 77 pts lead all QMJHL defenseman as did his 62 assists and he lead all QMJHL defenseman and ranked second overall with a plus/minus rating of +40. Sawyer was named a QMJHL Second Team All-Star and named the QMJHL Defensive Player of the week for the week of Jan. 29, 2007. He registered a career high six points (3g-3a) on 2/4/07 in Cape Breton's 8-2 win over Drummondville.
