
Komets Move Four from Roster

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced today the moving of 4 players from the team roster. Fort Wayne native Mike Kellermeyer was placed on waivers yesterday (Oct. 7), goaltender Mike Summerfeldt was waived today along with winger Mike Amodeo who has decided to return to the Kitchener of the OHL and resume play in the Juniors. The Komets also traded winger Billy Pugliese to the Muskegon Fury for cash.
The movement of 4 players brings the Komet roster to 20 players including 11 forwards, 7 defensemen and 2 goaltenders.
The Komets will start the 2002-03 this Friday night at Rockford when the K's faceoff against the IceHogs at 7:05pm. The game will be broadcast on WOWO Radio AM 1190 with Bob Chase starting his 50th anniversary season behind the Komet microphone. The game will also be carried on the internet at the Komet's website at www.komets.com through Comcast KometCast.
The Komet's home opener will be Nov. 9 against the Quad City Mallards at 7:35pm. It will also be the first event in the newly renovated Memorial Coliseum with a dedication ceremony planned prior to the opening faceoff. Season Tickets and single game tickets are on sale. Fans can inquire about Season Tickets at the Komet office at 1010 Memorial Way in Fort Wayne or by calling the Komet office at (260) 483-0011. Single game tickets are on sale at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
