
Koger and Bishop Lead Stingrays Past Everblades

North Charleston, SC - Forward Daniel Koger scored a goal and two assists and forward Hunter Bishop added two goals as the South Carolina Stingrays (7-10-0-1) defeated the Florida Everblades (6-6-1-2) 3-2 at the North Charleston Coliseum Saturday evening.
After a scoreless 40 minutes of play, Koger lit the lamp on the power play 1:50 into the third period firing a pass from forward Chris Langkow past the glove of Everblades goaltender Pat Nagle (L, 14 saves on 17 shots) from the bottom of the left-wing circle. Defenseman Luka Vidmar added the second assist.
Bishop made it a 2-0 Stingrays lead at 6:22 with help from Koger. The Everblades responded with a power-play goal from Matt Beca at 8:17 lifting a shot over the right shoulder of Stingrays netminder Ryan Zapolski (W, 27 saves on 29 shots). Bishop reclaimed a two-goal lead for the Stingrays moments later from forward Tyler McNeely and Koger. Everblades defenseman Taylor Ellington completed the game scoring at 15:27 on the man-advantage. The Stingrays ended the contest 1-for-5 on the power play while the Everblades finished 2-for-6.
The Stingrays wrap up a three-game homestand tomorrow, Sunday, November 18 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 3:05 p.m. at the Coliseum. Sunday is Kid's Day with $5 kid's tickets and $5 kid's meals!
