Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls continue with their three-in-three weekend at home, tonight against the Utah Grizzlies after topping the Mountain Division-leading Idaho Steelheads, last night, 4-2. The re-tooled Bulls picked up goals from four different players. Marek Viedensky, Sacha Guimond, Alex Tuckerman and Scott Langdon all scored in the win. Thomas Heemskerk earned his third win of the season, stopping 21 shots. Jordan Morrison and Kris Belan each chipped in with two assists.
With the win, the Bulls improved to 3-2 on home ice this season. They've won two of their last three games at the Cow Palace. Four out of the next five games for the Bulls will be at home.
Yesterday, defenseman Theo Peckham was released and returned home for a family emergency.
The Bulls take on a Utah Grizzlies team that is struggling, having lost their last six games. They fell to the Thunder last night in Stockton, 6-2. Philippe Cornet recorded two goals and an assist in the win for Stockton. With the loss and the Bulls' victory, the two teams are tied with Las Vegas for seventh place in the Western Conference with 10 points.
Bryan Cameron leads Utah with 10 assists and 13 points. Riley Armstrong, a former San Jose Sharks player, is the team's top goal scorer with five. Andrew Engelage has recorded all five of the Grizzlies' wins on the season.
